Topic: Strive To Enter
Text: Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter at the str8 gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”
In response to the question in today’s text, Lord are there few that be saved? Luke13:22-30.
The Lord answered, strive to enter in at the str8 gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” The Lord’s emphatic response to this all important question reveals the following: Not all who seek to enter, will get to heaven. Not all who are religious will enter. Not all who profess to know Christ or work for Him will get to heaven. Not all who do mighty works in His name will get to heaven. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
However, those converted, through genuine repentance and faith in Christ’s atoning blood, with a consistent life of holiness and righteousness, will get to heaven. Though saved, believers must deny self and strive daily by God’s grace to overcome temptation. You must read and obey God’s word.
